That I am now but the Marine Corps will bring that man out of me. That I've always wanted to be and I want to be a marine and I will never forget. That he was like. I want to be a Marine and that makes. Me psyche look. Because it's just that's who chases. You know I mean and I will yeah. I was really happy for him to kind of sum. I was happy and excited and I was really proud of it. Where did your spouse go to basic training so chase went to boot camp in San Diego how's your spouse ever been deployed. He has not been deployed.
How long have. You been a military wife so chase has been in for two years two and a half years but we've only been married for a little bit over a year. Now did you marry him before or after. He joined we did marry after. He joined how did your husband propose okay so. He proposed to me. He was in MOS school. He was going to school in Virginia and I was going to college back in Illinois and so. I remember it was fourth of July weekend of 2017 and I drove from Illinois to Virginia. All by myself I was like a 12 or 14 hour drive. I can't remember and he took.
Me out to the super nice restaurant. It was like a local Italian place. It was so good and so cute and real. I got super dressed up and then. I could tell the entire dinner. That he was so nervous. I thought that it was. Because we hadn't seen. Each other in a long time and this was the first time. That him and I one time to really like enjoy. Each other and kind of like go on a date. You know because obviously. This ten days lien after boot camp but that was shared with like friends and family so. This was the one-on-one time the first one-on-one time.
We had and forever and so. I thought that was why he was nervous. I did not expect him to propose. That weekend and I guess before. Even got there. He had already told my family. That he was gonna propose. You know he asked for the permission and everything and yeah. I never saw. It coming we obviously talked about being engaged but it was always like a few years ahead. You know and so. I did not expect to tap in that weekend but yeah after dinner. He was like hey do. You want to go to the beach which again.
